FAQs - Kinder Support Services (SANDE Bridge Program)

About SANDE Bridge

Is SANDE Bridge only for neurodivergent children?

SANDE Bridge is for all children. It is designed to support inclusion in kindergarten settings by building shared understanding about similarities and differences, communication, feelings, sensory experiences and belonging. The content is relevant for children of all neurotypes, while also supporting neurodivergent children to feel understood and included.

What does “neuroaffirming” mean in a kindergarten setting?

A neuroaffirming approach recognises that children have different ways of thinking, communicating and experiencing the world and that these differences are a natural part of human diversity. SANDE Bridge supports safety, access, belonging, inclusive language and respectful participation.

How the Program Runs

How does SANDE Bridge fit into kindergarten routines?

SANDE Bridge is delivered onsite and planned with your kindergarten team so it fits existing routines. We confirm goals, timing, group arrangements and practical details before sessions begin.

How are educators involved during the program?

Sessions are delivered by a registered psychologist using the SANDE Bridge curriculum, and educators help carry shared language and practical strategies into everyday routines. During sessions, educator participation can promote enthusiasm and support engagement.

How is each SANDE Bridge session structured?

Each session is playful, structured and age-appropriate. It usually includes a guided story, a short interactive activity and optional educator check-ins to support practical carryover.

What topics does SANDE Bridge cover?

Across 10 weeks, children explore similarities and differences, communication and listening, recognising needs and feelings, sensory experiences, asking for what they need, boundaries, fairness and early problem-solving.

Families and Consent

What consent and information-sharing are required with families?

Parent or carer consent is confirmed before delivery. During planning, we agree on clear parent-friendly communication and privacy-safe information-sharing arrangements with your kindergarten team.

Do families receive updates or resources?

Yes, where helpful. Families can receive brief updates and home-support ideas for themes explored during the program, with format agreed during planning.

Planning and Outcomes

What is included at the end of the program?

A brief summary can be provided for the kindergarten with practical suggestions to continue building inclusion and program themes in everyday routines.

How are fees and delivery arrangements confirmed?

Fees and delivery details are confirmed during planning with your kindergarten team, including format, group size and practical delivery arrangements before commencement.
